Tuomas Kallio

Royals - extraordinary everyday people

A Helsinki native Tuomas Kallio describes himself as a work-a-holic in love with city life. We know for sure that this connoisseur of street culture is an event organizer, DJ, vinyl collector, golf enthusiast & a proper sneaker head. Current passions also include food & wine. So if you ever need an opinion on a restaurant or a bar in Helsinki you know who to turn to.

In terms of style we think Tuomas nails smart casual with street wear influences. He’s style has been referred to as being like a classic drink but slightly more refined and detailed. Like Napue Gin & Tonic by Kyrö Distillery - Traditional yet interesting. He’s been loving this pair of Saint Vacant Derby2’s to death & his his loyalty to local brands and businesses has not been unnoticed. Tuomas tells us his favourite Saint Vacant memory; A Gentlemen’s evening at Popot Sneakerstore (RIP) from 2013. An event including shoe talk, violin music, cigars, single malt whisky, food by Michelin star chef and to top it off - a sword swallowing lady.

For the past couple of years Tuomas has been working with sales & marketing for Radio Helsinki. From this post he’s able to influence and enjoy many aspects of cultural life in Helsinki. Tuomas & Saint Vacant urge you to join Radio Helsinki’s Ystäväklubi - A club for friends of music and a media free of conventional limitations. As a member you'll support the radio and enjoy wonderful benefits. (photos/Janne Lax)
